Story

In 2011, Adobe was fast moving to a cloud and subscription based model. Device licensing and serial numbers were becoming obsolete. Large enterprises and mid-market sized creative and marketing teams were still paying for "Photoshop in a Box", and the shift to cloud at the dawn of 2017 made it necessary to establish a name based "Buy-Use-Renew" model for their cross-cloud customers.

I was a Lead Experience Designer at Adobe, with a key focus of leading a team of amazing designers to build a brand new experience for Creative, Document and Experience Cloud customers to discover Adobe's products, purchase, setup, use and renew their subscriptions.

Design Work

Get Started with Adobe

Problem

Setting up a cloud business account took 4-8 weeks

Solution

Designed an easy self-served workflow to onboard Admin users and setup Adobe licenses

Outcome

Reduced onboarding time to 1-3 hours, access control added an extra layer of security and provided users education around relevant Adobe products

Single View of Products

Problem

No single product to manage purchasing and usage of Adobe licenses

Solution

Product usage dashboard and an easy to use purchasing workflow

Outcome

Admins were able to have a single view actual usage, license costs and assignments and were also able to add or remove licenses for a single product

A Seamless Purchase Experience

Problem

Buying was limited to multiple licenses to only one product at a time

Solution

Designed a purchase workflow to allow selection and adding multiple products in to one cart seamlessly

One single workflow saw an uptick in business licenses and sales over time

Problem

Assigning licenses were cumbersome to use and required a lot of guidance

Educated the user and created a workflow to assign one or more licenses to one or more users
